Harfang Enduro Crampons

The Harfang Enduro is Blue Ice's most durable crampon — and the one that makes the case that "all-steel" and "compact enough for a ski touring pack" are not mutually exclusive. All three rails (front, secondary, and rear) are full chromoly steel, making it the toughest crampon in the Harfang range. The patented central textile strap that connects those rails collapses the whole system flat when not in use, so a full chromoly steel crampon fits in a fist-sized stuff sack at the top of your pack.

  • Full chromoly steel across all three rails — front, secondary, and rear rails are all chromoly steel, unlike the standard Harfang (aluminium secondary and rear) and the Tour (full aluminium). The result is a crampon with steel's edge-holding durability on mixed terrain and rock contacts without compromising the Harfang's textile-linked compactness.
  • Patented central textile strap connection — the UHMWPE/HTPE 40mm main strap connects all three rails instead of a rigid steel bar, allowing the crampon to pack flat and adapt to the specific geometry of any welted boot. The flexible linking system gives a more natural fit than conventional frame crampons.
  • Interchangeable front bail system — ships with both a fully automatic standard toe bail and a semi-automatic toe basket. Both are included in the box and are interchangeable to suit different boot types (ski touring boots vs mountaineering boots with toe welts).
  • TPU Active ABS anti-balling plates — removable anti-balling plates on all rails prevent wet snow from packing and balling underfoot on variable spring or mixed-condition terrain.
  • Heel lever with micro-adjustment — rear heel lever with a dial micro-adjustment for precise length tuning, compensating for strap stretch or changes between boot setups.
  • Fixed pivoting point cable attachment — the cable attachment system gives a pivot point that moves with the boot flex, reducing the leverage on the strap connection during dynamic movement.
  • Compact packed size — despite full steel construction, the textile-linked design packs to a fraction of the bulk of conventional steel crampons.

Important — ankle strap: The ankle strap on the Harfang Enduro does not have an end stop. Tie a secure knot in the strap end before use to prevent it from loosening or being lost in the field. This is a manufacturer's requirement.

Pair with compatible mountaineering or ski touring boots from our mountaineering boot range, or check the Harfang compatibility chart to confirm your boot works with this system.
