Griffin 12 Crampons
The Blue Ice Griffin 12 is a 12-point mountaineering crampon built around two genuine innovations: a patent-pending sliding collar adjustment system that delivers a fast, precise, and fully secure fit — and a 3D-profiled front and rear rail design that drives deeper and cleaner into snow and ice than conventional flat rails. The result is a crampon that performs on technical summer alpine terrain while remaining the lightest in its class at just 780g.
- Patent-pending sliding collar adjustment — a genuinely novel fit mechanism that allows fast, precise placement on the boot with the collar locking down for maximum retention security.
- 3D front and rear chromoly rails — 2mm-thick chromoly steel rails with a 3D profile that penetrate snow and ice more efficiently than standard flat-rail designs, delivering measurably improved traction and stability on technical ground.
- Lightest in class — 780g with toe bail, 800g with toe basket — the lightest 12-point crampon available in its performance category.
- Interchangeable front binding system — comes with both a standard toe bail (for ski and semi-auto compatible boots) and a semi-auto toe basket, giving compatibility across a wide range of welted B2/B3 boots.
- Anti-Balling System (ABS) front and rear — ABS plates on both rails prevent wet snow from packing and balling underfoot on mixed-condition terrain.
- Heel lever with micro-adjustment — rear heel lever allows fine-tuned length adjustment for a precise, rattle-free fit across EU sizes 36–50.
- CE EN 893 and UIAA 153 certified — independently tested and approved to both European and UIAA mountaineering standards.
- Includes storage bag — comes with a protective carrying bag for transport and storage.
