Seam Grip FC Fast Cure Seam Sealant

Gear Aid Seam Grip FC Fast Cure Seam Sealant — previously known as Seam Sure — is a water-based urethane seam sealant designed for large PU-coated nylon, polyester, canvas, and vinyl shelters that need a full seam seal quickly. A 60ml bottle seals up to 18 metres of seams, the liquid formula flows easily into seams and stitching without requiring a brush, and a 2-hour cure time means the tent is weatherproof the same day it's treated.

  • Fast 2-hour cure time — the fastest-curing product in the Gear Aid seam sealant range; apply in the morning and the tent is ready for use the same afternoon, without the overnight wait required by standard urethane sealants.
  • 18 metres of coverage per 60ml bottle — the highest seam coverage of any single Gear Aid sealant bottle; a single application is sufficient to seal the full seam run of most family-sized tents, large tarps, and pop-up shelters in one session.
  • Water-based urethane formula — a low-odour, water-based formulation that is easier to apply cleanly than solvent-based alternatives; flows into stitching and seam overlaps naturally for even coverage without streaking.
  • Dries to a clear, flexible seal — cures transparent without yellowing or visible residue; the flexible finish moves with the fabric rather than cracking under tension during packing and pitching.
  • Suitable for PU-coated nylon, polyester, vinyl, and canvas — the correct sealant for standard polyurethane-coated tent fabrics and tarps; covers the most common shelter construction materials in a single product.
  • Unaffected by extreme temperatures — the cured seal maintains its waterproofing across a full range of seasonal conditions, from cold wet autumn camping to summer heat.

Important: Seam Grip FC is designed for polyurethane-coated fabrics. For silicone-treated (silnylon) tents and tarps, use Seam Grip SIL — only silicone adheres to silicone-coated fabrics.
