Stache Ice 38 Climbing Pack
The Blue Ice Stache Ice 38 is a technical alpine pack designed specifically for ice climbing and mixed routes — and the 670g all-up weight for a fully-featured 38-litre pack is the headline figure. The uHMWPE shell fabric (the same material family as Dyneema) delivers class-leading toughness at this weight class, while the 420D-reinforced front pocket solves the problem every ice climber knows: where to safely carry crampons and sharp tools without them working through the pack.
- uHMWPE shell fabric — Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene ripstop, the same fibre family as Dyneema. Significantly stronger and lighter than standard nylon at equivalent weight — the fabric that defines the Stache range across all sizes.
- 420D reinforced front pocket — the defining feature of the Ice version. Lined with heavy-duty 420D fabric specifically for carrying crampons, ice screws, and other sharp or delicate equipment without risk of the points working through the shell.
- Avalanche safety pocket — dedicated internal organisation for probe, shovel handle, and shovel blade, keeping avy gear accessible and separated from the main compartment.
- Removable back panel — the structural back panel removes completely, stripping the pack down for summit pushes or objectives where the lowest possible weight is the priority.
- Fixed padded waistbelt with pockets and gear loop — the waistbelt carries two pockets and a gear loop for keeping small items and tools accessible without opening the main pack mid-route.
- Side access zip — direct access to the main compartment without removing the pack, useful on stances and belays.
- Dual ice axe holders — designed to carry two technical tools securely on approach and between pitches.
- Modular compatibility — fits the Blue Ice helmet carrier, ski carry system, and hydration bladder internally; compatible accessories available separately.
