Down Wash (300ml)

Grangers Down Wash is a concentrated, bluesign® approved wash-in cleaner specifically formulated for down and synthetic down-filled jackets, sleeping bags, and insulated gear. The new formula now delivers 12 washes per 300ml bottle — double the previous yield — making it the most cost-effective way to keep your most important insulation performing as it should.

• Concentrated formula — 12 washes per 300ml — just half a capful (25ml) per wash load, performing equally in hard and soft water with no dosage adjustment needed.
• Restores loft — removes the dirt and body oils that cause down to clump and lose its insulating power, restoring fill power and warmth to like-new performance.
• Protects hydrophobic properties — formulated to clean without stripping the natural oils in down or the hydrophobic treatments applied to synthetic fill, preserving the insulation's ability to stay warm even when damp.
• Neutralises odours and removes residue — eliminates lingering smells and clears chemical build-up without leaving the residue that standard detergents deposit in down fibres.
• Revitalises existing water repellency — cleaning away performance-blocking dirt allows any remaining DWR finish on the outer shell to function more effectively again.
• Compatible with GORE-TEX® and eVent® linings — safe for all technical shells used in down and synthetic insulated garments.
• Ideal pre-wash before reproofing — use Down Wash first, then follow with Grangers Down Repel for a thorough clean and reproof routine; clean down accepts waterproofing treatments far more effectively.

Top tip: tumble-dry with dryer balls on a low heat after washing to restore loft and prevent clumping — check periodically throughout the cycle and never use tennis balls, which can damage down baffles.
