Tenacious Tape Silnylon Patches

Gear Aid Tenacious Tape Silnylon Patches are peel-and-stick repair patches made from ripstop nylon with a silicone-based adhesive — the correct patch for silicone-treated fabrics including silnylon tents, tarps, hammocks, and ultralight packs. No sewing, no heat gun, and no separate adhesive required; just cut to size, peel the backing, and press firmly in place. Each pack includes two 7.6 x 12.7cm patches that bond permanently to silicone-coated fabrics and hold through washing and all weather conditions.

• Silicone adhesive for silicone-treated fabrics — as with Seam Grip SIL, only silicone adheres to silicone; these patches are specifically formulated with a silicone-based adhesive that bonds permanently to silnylon, silpoly, and vinyl. Standard fabric patches with acrylic or urethane adhesives will not bond reliably to silnylon and will peel away in the field.
• Peel-and-stick — no tools required — cut to the desired shape and size, peel the backing, and apply with firm pressure; no heat gun, no sewing, and no separate adhesive needed, making these patches practical for emergency field repairs as well as home maintenance.
• Two patches per pack, 7.6 x 12.7cm each — large enough to cover significant tears and holes; can be cut down for smaller repairs or trimmed to rounded corners for better long-term adhesion.
• Ripstop nylon construction — the patch material is sheer enough to match most fabric colours and matches the mechanical properties of silnylon and ultralight pack fabrics, so the repair flexes and moves with the gear.
• Washable and weatherproof — the silicone coating on both the patch and adhesive is waterproof and withstands machine washing, UV exposure, and sustained wet or cold conditions without lifting or peeling.
