Transfer LT Shovel

The Black Diamond Transfer LT is the lightest UIAA certified avalanche shovel on the market. At 405 grams, it delivers full-sized blade performance — 550 cm² of snow-moving capacity — in a fast-deploying, packable format built specifically for ski touring, ski mountaineering, and fast backcountry travel where weight and avalanche response time are both critical.

Note: the collapsed shaft does not feature a locking pin — it relies on the button engagement to hold the sections together when stowed. The T-handle is not offset, which can be slightly awkward with very bulky mittens; for those regularly wearing thick expedition gloves, the standard Transfer Shovel with its D-grip may be worth considering.
